Apex Stainless Fasteners is pleased to announce the successful delivery of a new ERP system to the company from technology partner Jeeves.
The company began a pre-study of Jeeves in Autumn 2022 and just a year later the system has been rolled out across the company.
The new system went live on Saturday 28th October, after a lot of preparation and training across teams. This required coordination across all 4 Apex sites to ensure it worked effectively.
Order quoting and processing, picking and packing, plus accepting and processing Good Inwards was operational from day one. This is a significant success and testament to the Apex teams involved in the project.
ERP System Launches
In the first week the system went live various teams worked on issues and improvements, as expected during the transition of ERP systems. The backlog was cleared by the end of the week with no apparent system issues.
Prior to this change, Apex had been operating with the same ERP system since 1991. There was a great deal of training and onboarding sessions prior to the delivery of the project, Apex had to ensure that all teams were ready for such important change. An ERP system is an essential building block for the creation of a rnage of new digitised services planned for the future.

Commenting on the project, David Vahter, Managing Director at Apex Stainless Fasteners Ltd:
"As such, in a project like this we really needed to make sure we got off to a flying start. Our warehouses are now working well via the Jeeves eWMS platform. We can now identify several positive changes for our customers, such as better documentation and automated tracking references.
The work with modernising Apex does not stop there, we now have a great platform to build and improve from, with the support of a great team.
This week would not have been possible without the close cooperation between vendors, Apex superusers and users. For which we are truly grateful."
